In 1933 the explorer and anthropologist Giuseppe Tucci led the first Italian scientific expedition to Western Tibet. It was accompanied by the imperiese Eugenio Ghersi, an officer of Marina, who created an extraordinary photographic documentation and shot some videos.

On March 12, 2018 at 17.30 in the hall of the Minor Council of the Palazzo Ducale – organized by Cai Ligure, Aics and Celso – will hold a study day entitled “The lost Tibet, On the plateau of the thin ego” with the exceptional projection of the only 1933 film left to witness the identity of those territories.
