Food for Thought
-l’Idole de Shigir-
La Sculpture en bois susmentionnée est l’idole de Shigir – probablement
la plus ancienne figure en bois connue
– – il n’est pas rare de trouver des similitudes entre les cultures primaires de certaines régions du monde – comme celles du Népal occidental ou la culture du Tharu de la plaine du Terai – celles du Chitral au Pakistan – du Timor – des Mapuche du Chili etc – des cultures que l’on pourrait définir par le style plastique
– archaïque –
et que si vous comparez à cet ancien idole – ils nous font comprendre encore plus leur importance. Ils sont une sorte de
– styles plastiques fossilisés –
au fil des millénaires – leur diffusion géographique suggère que ce style était – peut-être – autrefois – universel.
La culture que nous définissons comme tribale, en revanche, est le résultat d’une «évolution» stylistique qui a conduit à la différenciation des styles – elle n’est pas universelle est particulière.
